All variety Canary Show (Peterborough)

Postby Darren on Sun Nov 30, 2008 12:10 pm

how do all.

I entered 6 birds in for All Variety Canary Show yesterday and was wondering if anyone from the forum would be going.

If anyone from Nottingham area is interested then give me a shout and we can car share.

I think i am taking my birds on Saturday afternoon so that i am not loitering about the show ll day on Sunday, then i can leave Nottingham about 12.00hrs on Sunday to arrive just as the show opens.

regards

All variety Canary Show (Peterborough)

Postby Darren on Mon Dec 29, 2008 12:15 pm

Happy New Year All.

I have just spoken to Malcolm Plumb regarding the AVCS, he informed me they are still taking entries until Friday.

I have entered six birds and was wondering if anyone else was exhibiting (come on guys & gals) or even attending.

this will be the last show really before we all start pairing up, be great to see a few faces there before we all turn insular and remain locked in our birdrooms for the breeding season.

Regards

I'll see you there then Steve, not sure who else apart from the real Dave Allen is exhibiting but I'll give it a bash as it's the last of the season. If you change your mind Steve you have until Friday to stick your entries in.

Multiple Hats

Postby Darren on Sat Jan 03, 2009 7:48 pm

Bloody Hell Dave, let me get this right. During the week you wear a postman's hat, that gets changed for your baseball cap, when not doing your job which in turns gets swapped for your LCA hat, your canary council hat & now you have a parking attendant / traffic wardens hat. You are one busy boy.

When you want something doing, ask a busy man.

hi all
just read the very dissapointing news above about the entry.
the show needs 1500+ to help finance it and with 500 less fife than last yr then things need doing. where was the LCA/SOUTHERN LCC/EALCA PATRONAGES????? the show was not mentioned at any meeting last yr.

ttfn andy

ps well done paul nice one

Good report Darren , thanks for that . Its not just the Lizards , the whole fancy need to get behind this and other shows , as you said 'Its no good moaning once they are gone'.

The organisers should be applauded for a posastive approach and they'd be the first to say they could make it better , but they need us , in numbers year in year out.
