Something lost in translartion I reckon Joe . Blue is a 'ground' (white) Colour , Gold is a Yellow or Intensive feather ----Silver is a Buff or Non Intensive feather , if not colourfed they are their natural ground colour Green , ( with a black underflue) .

Unless a mutation is recessive or sex linked recessive it is impossible to breed splits , as we have proof that blues and normals are hatched in the same nest Blue is not a mutation merely a result of mixing white and green and is dominant.

Compared to most of you guys, i know very little about the lizard canary, but regarding blues, it just dont ring right with me, i mean, even un colour fed lizards look strange....

I guess though, it is only a matter of time before they appear on our show benches.

There would have to be a class for them before any are benched or they would just be judged "wrong class".

I think you may see one or two blues at the World show in Portugal, as this year a gold, silver & bronze medal will be awarded to the Blue section. Will there be one or two from the UK, well we will have to wait and see. But I would be surprised it there is let's leave it at that! shall we!

i must say that if mine had the correct rings on i think i would sendat least 2 of them, a cc hen, and nc cock, the hen is a really nice bird, its a pity not many people get to see it. but all being well it will go to the all variety.

Kevin.

Having seen your Blue,s they would definately be in the medals @ the world show, looking forward to seeing them @ the avcs.

Keep an eye for the world results, would,nt be surprised if a Brit won a medal with a blue having seen some other than your,s along the show trail this year.
Are you stewarding with Darren @ the avcs?

stewarding yes, i think darren volunteered us because it was so cold standing outside last year, his thinking is at least we'll be inside and a bit warmer, ive asked to steward on the section nearest the bacon buttie stall.
