Kevin

Well only just over a week to go, really struggling to get the birds settled in the show cages.

Not sure yet if I will bring all birds entered, so may only have a few, but its the competing that counts and looking forward to the day out.

How are those one,s we should not mention looking

Mine are a bit flighty as well Joe, will have to see how they go, saw the ones you shouldn't mention a couple of weeks ago, they look right nice, not that we should acknowledge them.

Spoke to the show secretary this evening and he told me he had received nearly 50 entries for Lizard & knew of at least 3 other exhibitors who are coming on Saturday. He is expecting 70+ Lizard this Saturday, not bad for a small CBS eh.

If anybody fancies their first outing out this year it's still not to late, bacon butties are good, companies good and the dinners after judging are cock on.

Be great to see a few more there, call it a dry run for the NBSOTY, the EALA, the Classic or the Southern, you know it makes sense.

First Show of the season today saw 60 Lizard benched by 2 novice & 7 Champion exhibitors.

Best Novice - Bridget Boulton (with a Stunning over year gold) - Dave Ross reckoned it was a tough choice between this and the overall winner of best Lizard.

2nd Best Novice - Wardle & Lowe

Best Champion / Best Lizard - Andy Williamson (worth the venture from East Anglia into civilisation)

2nd Best Champion - Kev Skinner

Had a right good day, nice to see Andy & Joe.

See some of you tomorrow at the NBSOTY

Kimberley CBS Members Show was today, results are as follows:

Judge - Hew Evans (assisted by Chris Jordan)

Best Novice - Bridget Boulton
2nd Best Novice - Bridget Boulton
3rd Best Novice - Bridget Boulton
Best over year Novice - Bridget Boulton

Best Champion - Kev Skinner
2nd Best Champion - Kev Skinner
3rd Best champion - Kev Skinner
Best Over year Champion - Jim Greatourix

Best Lizard - Bridget Boulton

Some cracking birds on display, sadly none of them have returned to my birdroom, still theres always next year.

13 no novice birds benched
27 no Champion birds benched

4 Champion exhibitors & 2 novice.

On another positive note a fife man has purchased some Lizard show cages and requested 2 pairs, and an ex pigeon man who has alreay purcahed 5 pairs turned up today to have a look at the show and will be joining next year.

Next year that will make 4 novice & 5 Champion members. We must surely get knocking on for 100 Lizard at the Open show, heres hoping anyway.

Congratulations to Kev & Bridget (& Jim)

Good news Darren. I think I know the two people you are talking about so hopefully this will help your numbers for next year.
It was South Bucks yesterday the show i am show secretary for. Total of nearly 700 Canaries, It is an All Variety Canary Show.
36 Lizards. Best Lizard, Best Champion Lizard, Best Silver & Best Gold DTA Lizard Stud
Best Novice Lizard R Smith. 3 champion exhibitors and 2 Novice exhibitors. Due to the high numbers of Old Variety enetered Alan Coleman judged the Lizard as he was visiting the show with the Yorkshire judge.
Mr Brockman was also there with his Hoso's but no Lizards. The South Bucks have the Old Variety South Clubs show and also have patronage from the ~Hoso Aliance.
a good show but a lot of hard work I can tell you.
regards David.
