I agree Paul.

Any one who give,s of their time to support the fancy has to be commended.

Its a thankless task, there will always be moaning and groaning and we can all find fault and do better,Open dialogue on the way forward is the right approach.

But the first appraoch is to support these events if @ all possible, which is not easy in the current climate.

Patronage

Postby dtalizard stud on Mon Jan 05, 2009 9:45 pm

The AVCS didn't apply for patronage it has never done. But I did award two LCA rosettes from the LCA for best in each section. I have been approached to ask for patronage for next year. which maybe this year as they are looking to move the show date to December. I will let you know more after the Canary council meeting in March where it will be discussed in length.
OK regards David.

Dave,

Mine just aren't up to scratch this year, in fact yesterday was my last show of the season. I've been in the birdroom all morning looking through my stock, I'm gonna have to be ruthless. It's a shame cause I like the AVCS.

I spoke to Stuart Fox the other week though to offer my services for stewarding, I will still do this even though I'm not exhibiting, you never know I may be doing Lizard.
